Arachnid versus Homo Sapiens: The Showdown!
The morning began innocently enough. A few bottles of Preacher’s Choice mellowed the bright sunlight over the bricks of Pepper Park. That quickly ended when Jack Red’s call to arms sounded out over the Alliance channel which I kept turned on for potential stories. His message told all Neocron runners to gather at Tech Haven 2. A rash of missing runners has surfaced. This strange series of disappearances has authorities baffled. At this time there doesn’t seem to be any connection between the missing runners. Each runner was more than capable of handling themselves in the Wastelands, so their disappearances are a mystery. We ask everyone to please keep your eyes open for anything out of the ordinary while travelling on the roads of the wastelands. If you have any information regarding the location of these runners, please contact myself or Jack Red immediately!

As the first contest of this kind was a great success, a second apartment contest was announced a few weeks ago. But insider are telling us stories about a crisis at Diamond Real Estate and that this contest is in fact an attempt to increase the sell rates of furniture and apartments. Of course Diamond Real Estate officially denies these rumours. "There are no profit setbacks at Diamond Real Estates. Speculations about this are just propaganda spread by our competitors from the Dome."

Neocron Citizen,
I am connecting with you today for the first time using the new Neocronicle newssystem because I have some very important information for you. We’ve been searching for a secret DoY Base in the Outzone for the past few weeks. Inside this base, Neocron citizens were evidently tortured and changed into mindless York Cyborgs (the Neocronicle reported about this already). Fortunately we have finally been able to trace this base.

The merciless heat of the summer burned and nobody knew who was sweating more: The athletes or the audience. Many runners went to the Twister Bar in the Wastelands to take part or just to see what was going on. The organizers have not only set up a tribune for the audience but also a strange tower surrounded by a circle of chairs. It wasn’t difficult to guess that this was the arena for the first competition: A so called "Going to Jerusalem".

A mysterious unknown group, calling themself "event team" has announced some "Sommer Olympics" for this weekend. Here you can read the official announcement.
It seems that these Olympic Games are meant as a sportive competiton between runners of all locations. This means this event is open for runners of Neocron City, the Military Base and the Dome. Although there are difficulties between the cities this event is meant to be a peacefull one. The event organizers said that they will react very harsh if any runner causes trouble like attacking other runners or hacking belts, etc.
The event will start on saturday, july 16th at 11 pm CEST (click here for your local time).
